The Texas Interdisciplinary Plan Community Outreach (TIPCO) is a registered student organization open to all TIP Scholars and Mentors past and present. We know our high-achieving Scholars and Mentors seek out opportunities to make an impact in their community, so they have created an organization within their TIP family to do just that. Active every fall and spring, TIP has contributed to making the world a better place from right here on campus to the other side of the planet.

What does TIPCO do?
Members of TIPCO devote their time and energy to volunteering with various campus and community organizations. TIPCO has two primary goals: to make a significant difference in our city over time and to foster the ethic of service in each other. Since the creation of TIPCO in the fall of 2009, its members have contributed many hours of service in the Austin area including creating care packages for the homeless, creek cleanups, volunteering with the Aids Services of Austin, Austin Pets Alive, Race for the Cure, Keep Austin Beautiful, and the CASA Superhero run.

Members of TIPCO aim to volunteer at least twice a month during the fall and spring semesters. Whether you are seeking to build your volunteer resume or simply have a passion to reach out and help others, TIPCO is the organization to join. To find our more about how you can get involved, shoot us an email at tipco@austin.utexas.edu.
